Antigua Casa Solariega located in Alcalá de Henares city centre, fully refurbished keeping building's original wooden estructure, and rooms distribution around the closed 'patio', with porticoed columns. It was built originally for the distinguished Mendoza family, some of whom descendants occupied relevant positions in the Austrias kings court. It was finally donated to the Magistral Cathedral of Alcalá de Henares, in order to be used as accomodation for the 'magister dean' and other clerecy members.

The 'Antigua Casa Solariega de los Mendoza' is located in the historical city centre of Alcalá de Henares, declared World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1998, just behing Magistral Cathedral Magistral of Alcalá de Henares, where the Saint Children, Justo and Pastor, relics are kept, from they were martyrdomed in roman times by their faith. From there, just walk at Mayor street, the second longest porticoed street in Europe, after Bolonia, in Italy, in order to arrive to Plaza Cervantes, old Market square, and walking through it, arrive to Rectorate building of University of Alcalá, originally built by Cardenal Cisneros, en 'brick and mud', and that was finished afterwards in limestone and granite, in renaissence, herrerian and baroque style.
