This house is more than 300 years old. It belonged to one of the most influential families (mayors, senators...) of the region of La Serena during the last century. The traditional architecture of Estremadura's rural houses has been preserved and even recovering some household goods of the time. Its wide walls and high ceilings allow a nice temperature during summer and hardly noises.
The house is located a few minutes walking from the center of Zalamea de la Serena. This peaceful village owns one of the four diptych that still exist in the world. It is also possible to visit and climb the castle's towers and, taking the car, a few minutes away in Canchorroano, you will find a Tartessian ruins and a resorvoir called La Charca where you could have a swim. From Zalamea you could visit as well the reservoir of Zújar where you can cannoe down the river.
