As you can see from the photos, the style we have chose is modern traditional, with a few artistic touches. The main benefit, though, is location; it is in the centre of the village, with everything you need nearby – except at siesta-time! The views from the terrace garden are spectacular – a 360 degree panorama over the rooftops of Yunquera to the mountains beyond. ...and we also have the hot tub - nothing better than to relax with a nice glass of cava in the moonlight!

We are Paqui and Mike and started hosting in July 2019. We have the Centro de Arte - which is below the apartment in the photos - and produce most of the artwork, jewelry and souvenirs ourselves. We live on the floor above, so will always be on hand to help and advise.

Yunquera is the ideal rural retreat; an unspoilt paradise in the higher mountains of the Sierra de las Nieves National Park. It is the perfect base from which to explore the coast, Ronda, the exciting Camino del Rey and, of course the incredible national park. Yunquera is a very attractive "pueblo blanco", with incredible views, dense vegetation, sweeping mountains and some of the most beautiful whitewashed buildings and cobbled streets found anywhere in Southern Spain. Yunquera is the most elevated town in the province of Malaga and has some of the best views in the Sierra de las Nieves - the fifty or so kilometres from Malaga airport or the coast is well worth the trip whether for a weekend or longer.
