Mogán is another of the most visited tourist municipalities. It is located 93 kilometres from the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The relief of Mogán is characterised by wide ramps interspersed with deep ravines that start in the interior of the island and extend all the way to the sea. The Barrancos de Veneguera and Mogán ravines, where the most beautiful landscapes can be seen, stand out for their spectacular nature.
The beaches that stretch along the coast of this coastal town have integrated several tourist developments:
It also has an optimal infrastructure for the practice of nautical tourism and marinas. Whale watching is one of the most attractive activities offered by the municipality for sea lovers.
Puerto de Mogán is a seaside neighbourhood which, due to its unique enclave and natural beauty, has given rise to one of the most beautiful urbanisations. Its marina is a meeting point for many international yachting enthusiasts.
If you opt for a cultural visit, we recommend a stroll through the streets of the old quarter of Mogán, where you can admire the Church of San Antonio de Padua, built in 1814. Here you can admire a beautiful carved wooden coffered ceiling. Also near the Nicolás Quesada Park, in the Rincón de Mima, visitors can see the five murals that depict traditional Canarian dress. As a curiosity, on the road to Puerto de Mogán is the Molino Quemado, built in the 19th century and which supplied the whole region with gofio and flour. It is the largest windmill on the island, reaching a height of seven metres.
