Property information
The eye-catching house façade attractively clad in golden Son Garau stone, perfectly complements the gorgeous 360° views across rolling countryside that can be admired from the pool, grounds and terraces.
To one side the shallow cliffs of Sa Penya Bosca are home to a fascinating array of birdlife including kestrels and owls, to the front the hilltop monastery of San Salvador simply invites a visit while, in the distance, the rugged Tramuntana mountains make a more than impressive backdrop.
A short unmade track leads to the property grounds of over one acre where, both inside and out, the care invested in design, décor and facilities is obvious. In addition to the lovely views, highlights for us include the wide covered terrace ideal for shaded dining and the striking private pool which has Roman steps onto a long, child-friendly shallow section designated by a row of semi-submerged stone pillars.
Internally, Son Monavi is spacious, well equipped and welcoming, each of the three bedrooms boasting its own bathroom and independent air conditioning. Great thought and care has clearly been invested in the décor which is immensely attractive and inviting. Colour-cordinated linens and fabrics, mongrammed towels plus many subtle, attentive touches are evidence of the pride Cati takes in providing a home from home experience to all her guests.
Neighbourhood information
Peaceful pastoral perfection. Please forgive the alliteration but we feel it is only appropriate when trying to summarise the (many) charms of Son Monavi. Newly built, this beautifully finished property is the culmination of a lifelong dream for local owner, Cati, whose family have owned and worked the surrounding land for several generations. Having achieved her ambition to build a fine house, in a spot that played such an important part in her childhood, Cati is delighted she can now offer others the opportunity to come and enjoy the beauty of this exceedingly relaxed and picturesque corner of the island.
Good amenities and sandy beaches are both close at hand. Within three hundred metres you will find a small boutique hotel with a restaurant, nearby Ca’s Concos (2.7km) and S’Alqueria Blanca (3km) have minimarkets, bakeries and further eateries while Porto Petro (8km) and Cala d’Or (11km) could not be more contrasting – the former sleepy and laid-back, the latter lively and animated.
A 15 minute drive brings a choice of sandy beaches including the small coves of Sa Torre (8.5km) and Porto Petro (9km) as well as beautiful Mondragó/S’Amarador (11km) which are considered two of the island’s best.
