You are warmly welcome to Ruka Villa Kieppi, our new winter home as of January 2022. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! We've put in a lot of thought to make all things work smoothly. If you feel we could do better, we appreciate your feedback! IMPORTANT: The reservation does NOT include cleaning or bed linen. If you want these, please contact me. Our property has four Stiga snow racers and two pairs of skinbased skis, for rent at small fee. Try the hilarious snow racing in the slopes after the lifts are closed - you will not regret it! If you need more pairs of skinbased skis, Outdoor Passion Finland is your place to go. Besides the regular amenities, Ruka Villa Kieppi had gas barbecue, cole barbecue and electric smoker (all for outdoor use) as well as raclette grill (indoor use).
My love for Ruka started in 1980s. I qualified as a ski instructor in Ski School Ruka in 1994 - my 20+ years of Ruka expertise is at your disposal. I am happy to help you with questions about local activities and offerings. I hope you fall in love with the resort the same way I have!
You can reach all Ruka activities by foot from Ruka Villa Kieppi - this property is truly in the heart of the action, yet peacefully situated in Kelokaltiokylä, traditional well-preserved cottage area. Besides the Ruka Village restaurants, shops and activities, you have very easy access also to the east side of the mountain by Ruka Ski Bus (https://www.ruka.fi/en/travelling-to-kuusamo/getting-around/buses) or gondola lift (lift ticket required).
