The architectural structure features a harmonious fusion of technologies: a digitally designed, precisely crafted timber frame, which draws on the centuries of know-how from the French, Unesco protected Compagnons des Devoir -guild. The interior, curated in partnership with Lokal Gallery in Helsinki, showcases emerging Finnish artists and designers, creating a dialogue between architecture, nature, and contemporary art. Designed by Ateljé Sotamaa, the Usva and the Meteorite houses are unique pieces of experimental wood architecture, both in construction techniques and also in the emotional and sensory qualities of wooden spaces.
Located in the serene heart of the Finnish Lake District and close to the Koli National Park, the Usva House Private Art & Design Villa delivers bespoke experiences that combine modern architecture with Finnish heritage, immersive activities, and exceptional comfort.
