Welcome to Päijätsalo's great views and nature. I personally enjoy a lot when I walk along the beach paths with my dog. The surrounding nature is also absolutely enchanting. You can hear woodpeckers making their holes or see flocks of swans. You can also pick berries or collect mushrooms according to the seasons.

There are nature trails and a national park in Päijätsalo, where an observation tower for Päijänte was built in 1899. In the center of Sysmä, approx. 8 km away, there are shops, restaurants, several cafes and flea markets, where you can find bargains. I personally like to eat at, for example, restaurant Uoti, which has a buffet lunch Mon-Sat, or Fantasia pizzeria. In the center of Sysmä, there are also more sports opportunities such as a gym, swimming hall, sports park, artificial ice rink and in Ohrasaari, for example. ski slopes, exercise routes and running stairs. In Sysmä's camping area, e.g. mini golf course. Sysmä church was built 500 years ago and the cemetery is also worth visiting. In Hartola, several good restaurants, a golf course, a skiing center, etc. are also within half an hour's drive. The Vääksy canal is a great place to visit, completed in 1871.
