Our gîte is a quirky, fully equipped, one-bedroom home in the Old Town of Bergerac, on a popular square less than a minute's walk from the River. A comfortable stay for two, it has a sofa bed for extra guests. The entrance leads to an open kitchen/dining area, with comfy seats for pre-dinner drinks. If you'd like to mingle on the square, outdoor furniture is provided. You can open the doors & windows and immerse yourselves in the Summer buzz, or close them for perfect peace, quiet & privacy. Upstairs is a lounge - a bright room, perfect to relax & read in. The sofa bed is in this room if you have an additional person to stay. The shower room & bedroom are also on this floor. The property is tastefully decorated, and retains the features of the old house while providing modern touches to ensure your comfort. Whether you do your own cooking in our fully-equipped kitchen, get a takeaway or choose to eat out (your neighbours are 4 wonderful restaurants ), food will be the beating heart of your visit! You're less than three minutes walk from a wealth of bars & restaurants to suit all tastes & budgets, & don't miss the market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings for the best eggs you'll ever buy! 10 minutes from the airport, you're at home almost as soon as you've landed! You'll find all the amenities you'd expect when you're settled-in, Wifi, air conditioning & all the usual appliances. Whilst the house is in a great location it doesn't have a parking space. The nearest car park (free) is about a 4 minutes walk away subject to availability. We'll provide information prior to arrival. We offer a personal and rapid service prior to and during your stay. If you have any questions or if you need us to fix anything, we can respond quickly. We can assist with organising transport to & from the airport,& give advice on local restaurants, wines, events, attractions, tours and things to do in Bergerac and the other lovely villages nearby - don't hesitate to ask
The property is owned by George and Katja, who live in Bordeaux. Your hosts for your stay will be Martin and Kamila, who are professional property managers and also our good friends! You'll find them extremely capable and helpful. Enjoy your stay :o) G&K
