Just the right place... To live, to work and welcome people. We found it 7years ago. It had been a presbitery from 1695 until 1970, when the last parish priest got retired... The central part was built in the XVIIth century, and the two wings in 1870. The location was great, behind a small lake in a quiet village (only 600 inhabitants), near Brocéliande's forrest, not too far from Rennes where we had been living. We decided immediately to buy the house, but we knew there was much work to do, inside we had to renovate all the rooms! (Even if during the Eighties, the first floor of the building had been used as a Bed and Breakfast, welcoming is a tradition...) But it was also an opportunity because we could decorate according to our wishes, a mix of old and new elements and colours..., with paintings and iron sculptures made in Frédéric's Atelier. We needed help from some craftsmen but we have been personnally working in the house for 3 years. We called the property L'Atelier du Presbytère having in mind its past and the present, and it's now a house full of good vibrations which invites to rest and dream, and we hope you'll feel well too....
