You are also just a stone's throw away from the Dordogne, which is very popular with canoeists and anglers. The large beach at the Vitrac bridge is ideal for swimming, canoeing and fishing. Vitrac is a charming little village where you can discover the ruins of a medieval castle and a small church from the 12th century on a hill. Montfort lies between Vitrac and Carsac and is famous for its castle, which sits majestically on a rock above the Dordogne. You can also admire the picturesque landscape of the Cingle de Montfort, a bend in the river.
