The farm is located in a small valley in the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut-Languedoc, and surrounded by mountains and forests. To escape the summer heat, you can cool off in the swimming pool or enjoy a refreshing drink on the terrace of the old farmhouse. During the summer months (July and August), you can order bread every day, so you can enjoy a fresh croissant with your morning coffee. In the evening, you can come and enjoy a meal (booking required), prepared mainly with home-grown produce such as vegetables from the garden and meat from the farm. The farm owners will be delighted to show you around and tell you all about the animals and the environment.
There are plenty of activities close to the farm, including canoe rental, hiking, cycling, swimming in natural waters, canyoning and climbing. For culture lovers, two beautiful villages, Olargues and Minerve, which feature on the list of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, are less than half an hour's drive from the farm. There are also several markets in nearby villages where you can buy local produce such as fresh goat's cheese, wine and all sorts of fresh fruit and vegetables. Whether you're looking for peace and quiet or an active holiday with plenty of excursions, you'll find it all here!
Ever since I was a child, my parents worked in the tourism sector so I grew up meeting a lot of different people from all over the world. Hosting therefore comes very naturally to me, and I very much enjoy doing it. When I'm not hosting I work as a farmer on our family farm, where we raise cows, chickens, pigs, etc. I love animals and taking care of them, and I love telling our clients about my work on the farm so do not hesitate to ask for a tour!
What our guests like the most about our region is its diversity, whether you want to sunbathe on the beach, or want to go hiking near mountain lakes: our region offers it all. On top of that our region is known for its excellent wines (Minevervois, Saint-Chinian), and there are several restaurants nearby where you can try the local cuisine. Also, for those who love history, there is a large offer of museums with exhibitions on Neolithic settlements, archaeological sites from Roman times, and Medieval towns and fortresses where Cathars used to live. Lastly, for the nature lovers, our farm is located in a regional parc, so there are numerous hiking trails to discover our wildlife.
