The Chalet is located in the municipality of Tignes but only 2 minutes by free shuttle bus to the ski slopes and bright lights of Val d'Isere!!!!!
Built in 1728 and totally refurbished to the highest standards in 2006, this traditional stone and wood Savoyard chalet is located in the tranquil hamlet of La Reculaz, overlooking the Lac de Chevril. It is just a couple of minutes drive/shuttle bus from the world-famous ski resort of Val D'Isere. The chalet comprises of five bedrooms, three of which have en-suite bathrooms. The open plan living, dining and kitchen area is a fantastic space for families and groups to unwind in front of the log burner (firewood provided). There is also a jacuzzi bath and a Hammam to sooth away the days skiing or summer hikes. The large, terraced garden with incredible lake views is equipped with garden furniture, BBQ and summer lawn games. The perfect summer spot to be as active or relaxed as you want.
The chalet is located 100 metres from the road in the pedestrian only Hamlet of La Reculaz with ample free parking. It was built in 1728 and is a traditional stone and wood farmhouse. There are great trails just outside the chalet for snow shoeing or ski touring and hiking in the summer. the Ski lifts of Val d'isere are only 2 minutes drive/bus away. The perfect spot for a unique and relaxing stay in the Haute Tarentaise at any time of the year.
The Hamlet of La Reculaz is at the edge of the Vanoise National Park and is one of the oldest hamlets in the Tarentaise Valley. The chalets, church and farm buildings were at the heart of farming communities in the Savoie region of the Alps. There are several walks in Winter and Summer that you can follow to explore the immediate countryside and forests and to take in the beautiful views of the Lac de Chevril and surrounding mountains. The chalet is located just a short walk from the Nature Reserve of the Sassiere Valley, a haven for wildlife lovers, ramblers, ski touring and snow shoeing.
Exploring further afield into Tignes and Val D'Isere can be easily achieved by car/taxi or bus (free and paid summer and winter). Val D'Isere has plenty to offer for everyone, there are bars, shops and restaurants to suit all budgets, and the lively town centre and snow front has plenty of entertainment on offer. Equally, Tignes also boasts something for everyone and for the best live music, food and apres atmosphere in the Alps, head to the Marmot Arms in Tignes le lac.
