The chateau owners (Peter & Karina) are sociable people. After earlier careers in London and Krakow they opened their home to make friends, meet likeminded people and bring life to the chateau. Rieutort has never been to them a restaurant or a hotel business - the chateau is their home which, with great pleasure, they share with their guests.

The seven gites are converted historic buildings, situated on the banks of the Herault river, immediately surrounding Chateau Rieutort. They are surrounded by a 200 years old park and vineyards and benefit from the services of the Chateau: - Free of charge bike rental - Games room including: billiards, table football, Monopoly and other social games, a massage chair - Access to two swimming pools: naturist and textile - Access to the newly built SPA (sauna & a giant jacuzzi) and massage services - charging station for electric cars - breakfast and other meals at an extra cost (must be prebooked) The gites themselves are: - newly renovated in an attractive and comfortable style; - furnished with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens; - have their own outdoor space with garden furniture and BBQs; - are supplied with all necessary clean linen, towels and pool towels (beds are made on your arrival) - 6 out of 7 of the gites are airconditioned Gite guests have all necessary kitchen and dining room equipment and by ordering in advance can have the full range of fresh bakery products delivered to their door every morning. Superb wine at a range of different price levels is available by the glass, bottle or carton

The location of the chateau is just amazing: close to the beach but tucked away in the peace of the countryside. The chateau is a one hour drive from Montpellier airport and 30 minutes from Beziers airport (Ryanair), situated in the proximity of stunning historical towns like Pezenas and St Guilhem le Desert. If you like water sports or hiking the Herault River (swimming, fishing and kayaking), Lake Salagou (windsurfing, pedal boats), the Mediterranean and Cirque de Navacelles are all less then an hour's drive from the Chateau. Golf? 30 minutes away at Cap d'Agde. You are also welcome to use the complimentary bicycles, games and indoor activities at the Chateau.
