Wissant beach is magnificent situated right between the deux caps natural park. The house is located in a lovely quiet neighbourhood just minutes walk to the centre of Wissant. There is free WIFI and all you will hear at night is the hooting of owls or the sound of birds in the morning. We often hear woodpeckers and cuckoos or baby lambs in the distance. There are lovely countryside walks just metres from the house. If you are looking for family friendly activities, head along the coast to pick mussels from the beach at the Pointe aux Oies or further down the coast you can visit Nausicaa sea life centre in Boulogne sur Mer. There is lots of history in the region. The WW2 museums, German bunkers and The Atlantic wall are at your doorstep which gives you a real insight into the region during the 1940's. The Channel Tunnel is 15 minutes drive away if you fancy a day out in Canterbury or a visit to Dover castle. Bruges is not far away either, the Belgian border is just an hours' drive away on the A16 and the beautiful city of Lille is 29 minutes by TGV from Calais Fréthun. Wissant is truly a relaxing spot with Europe at its' doorstep.
