Nestled in the picturesque village of Burnand, this charming family-friendly holiday home offers a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and a taste of rural French life. Set in the heart of Burgundy, the house boasts traditional stone architecture and enjoys a tranquil location overlooking fields and forest as well as the historic Église Saint-Nizier and the enchanting Château de Burnand. Nature lovers can enjoy walks in the forest starting right outside the house.
As with most traditional houses in Burgundy, one enters the property via a beautiful stone staircase at the front of the property. This leads to a large, covered terrace with a table and chairs where guests can enjoy a morning coffee or simply relax and enjoy the views over the village and neighbouring fields.
Once inside, we are greeted by a large open plan Living Room and Kitchen. A dining table sits in front of a large wood burning stove whilst off to the side, a comfortable seating area features 2 sofas and a Smart TV.
Beyond the dining table is a modern, fully fitted kitchen featuring everything one could possibly need.
Leading off from the living room we have 2 bedrooms; one with 3 single beds and one with a double bed and a single. Both bedrooms are a good size and have views over the countryside or the village and church.
Finally, completing the space, there is a standalone WC and a separate bathroom with a shower and large vanity unit.
Unusually for this type of property, all the accommodation is situated on the one floor making it ideal for older and younger guests.
Outside, the house is situated in a mostly inclosed courtyard featuring several outbuildings and places to sit and relax, both in the sun or in the shade. One of these buildings is an old bread oven that is no longer in use as an oven but features a charming little upstairs balcony with a table and chairs where kids can hang out and watch over the adults.
