We are Annette and Andy Paton originally from Leicestershire in the UK. We have owned this property (formerly a farm) dating from 1818 since August 2015. The building had been unoccupied since 1955, so we have had many months/years of work renovating and converting, mostly carried out by us. The end result is very pleasing for us and we are happy to be welcoming visitors to stay from all around the world.
Come and stay at Chez Pastuso, set in 5 acres of grounds with covered secure parking for motorcycles and ample off-road outdoor parking for cars,etc. Located in a hamlet of 5 properties, situated approx 1.5km from a quiet village and only 14km from the medieval town of Montmorillon.
We offer a spacious ground floor en-suite studio bedroom, with full French and English TV. Other amenities include a fridge, a microwave, coffee machine, table and chairs and also a sofa.
We think that this is a perfect location for a short break to unwind, or just stay the night to break up a long journey, whatever your choice, you can be assured of a warm welcome.
We live at the property, so are on hand with any difficulties or queries that you may have. Our two border collies love to welcome our guests, but then just get on with their normal lives. We enjoy walking with the dogs in the tranquil countryside, in between the day to day jobs.
The nearest town is Montmorillon, approximately 15km away, which is known as the "City of Writing". The town has several writing inspired museums and bookshops. Poitiers, and Futuroscope is only one hour away. Limoges and it's airport are also one hour away. Oradour sur Glane with it's visitor centre and abandoned village from World War 2 is one hour away and worth visiting.
