Located close to the Vézère valley, peacefully hidden in a green and hilly landscape, you will find 'Le Clos Napoleon', a B&B named after the nearby located 'Musée Napoleon'.
A 400 meter private driveway leads uphill to "La Domaine des Trois Hiboux", named after the numerous Tawny owl's who populate this 8 ha oak forest.
"Le Clos Napoleon" is a private guest apartment with independent access through a small terrace with garden furniture, adjacent to the 18th century farmhouse and in the middle of the remote forest property.
The apartment is decorated with 19th style decoration, many of them refering to the French emperor. A large bedroom area with a 160x200 bed, a lounge/relaxation area with 2 armchairs, a courtesy tray with tea and instant coffee kettle, complete the list.
The large bathroom includes a big bathtub, shower, double sink and toilet.
Your host will serve you breakfast with fresh orange juice, bread and pastries. Scrambled eggs, soft-boiled eggs and the best omelets of the region are provided by our own property's free forest chicken.
On request, you can be provided with a travel cot and a high chair.
Early check-in, late check-out may be possible, please inquire with the owner.
Established in Dordogne since 2021, in an isolated and peaceful little farmhouse, in the middle of an 8 hectares of untouched quiet oak forest.
Implementation of the essential good practices and ecological applications, no chemicals, all in full respect of nature.
My interests: the forest, it's trees, animals, birds, owls and ecology.
I love traveling, history, arts, French food and wines.
My four-legged friend, a young German Shepherd named Rickie, may look very imposing, but is non-aggressive, kind, well-educated and very familiar with people and their children in particular. I will welcome you upon your arrival on the parking, keeping my dog attached by his leash, to avoid him being too enthousiastic.
There is no reason to be afraid, the dog is NOT DANGEROUS and is used to meet people on the estate.
Together with the dog, there are 6 chickens and a rooster who wander on a large 500m2 plot of land, covered by oak trees. They are responsible for the daily delivery of the 'best' organic eggs in the Dordogne department!
