Situated on the border between the Charente and the Dordogne/Perigord, La Tranquillité is located in the small village of Nanteuil Auriac de Bourzac which is part of the marvelous Dronne valley. The Dronne flows through a slight slanted agricultural landscape.
We will welcome you in this oasis of rural charme. Here you can create your holiday the way it suits the best. Just relaxing in the common garden, floating in the cristal blue water of the swimming pool or enjoy the sunset on your terras. The hosts will be very helpfull and generously provide all information and personal advice to discover the numerous possiblities. This all, of course with respect for your privacy.
Surrounded by fields, La rquillité consists of a main house and 3 gites. All having a private terras, barbeque and a marvelous view.
On hot summer day's shades can be found in the small orchard.

La Tranquillité can suite the people who are in need of some peace and quiet and likes to escape from the hectic pase of the everyday life as well as the active tourist who can enjoy the historic villages as capital of the comic strip Angouleme , Perigeux, Brantome, Mareuil, Bourdeilles en Aubeterre sur Dronne very near by.
Don't forget to take a look at Saint Jean de Cole which is on the list of the most beautifull villiges of France.
If you enjoy rummage on markets, you'll love going to Riberac, Chalais or Brantome. Every first Sunday of the month Verteillac holds a brocante. During summer every village has it's own feasts. Mostly with markets, music, a petanque tournement and a firework.
For children we have of corse the swimming pool but beside this theres the kayak trips at Aubeterre, Brantome, Bourdeilles, the adventure park at Nontron or closer by, Moulin de Poltrot in Nabinaud , swimming in the Dronne (Aubeterre) or in the La Jemaye lake. Lovers of nature will be happy to makes some hikes at La Tourbière which is only 2 km away, or on the wonderful "plateau d'Argentine" where wild orchides grow. If you're lucky, some wild animals will cross your path.
