We look forward to welcoming you to Le Troglo des Renaudières, a semi-troglodytic house full of charm and history. You will be comfortably accommodated in its 80 m² of fully renovated space, with a lovely view of the Indre River. The house can accommodate 1 to 4 people. The semi-troglodytic character means that the interior of the house is built of tuffeau, a natural stone typical of the region. This material creates a unique and authentic atmosphere, but requires some maintenance: fine tuffeau dust may settle daily in the rooms on the ground floor. The upper floor is accessible via a spiral staircase. Its location is ideal for visiting the châteaux of the Loire Valley and the vineyards, or simply for recharging your batteries in the heart of this magnificent region. The accommodation is entirely non-smoking and pets are not allowed.
Above all, we want you to take care of the house, just as we did when we renovated it. The beds will be made upon your arrival. We ask that you leave the house clean when you depart: dishes put away, rubbish bins emptied and vacuumed if necessary. Pets are not allowed. For smokers: please remain outside. For safety and common sense reasons, we do not provide coffee, tea, sugar or toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, etc.). We also do not provide meals or breakfast, so it is important to make arrangements for your meals during your stay. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, so that your stay is pleasant and safe.
Guests particularly appreciate the peaceful, picturesque and unusual location of our house on the banks of the Indre River, ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature. You are just a stone's throw from the famous Château d'Azay-le-Rideau, a Renaissance gem, and a short distance from neighbouring châteaux such as Villandry, Rigny-Ussé (the château of Sleeping Beauty) and Langeais. Wine lovers can explore the region's vineyards and taste local wines. The centre of Azay-le-Rideau offers charming restaurants and cafés, artisan bakeries and local markets where you can find fresh produce and regional specialities. Walks along the river and through the picturesque streets of the village are among the most popular activities for our visitors. For families or culture lovers, museums and local events are easily accessible depending on the season, allowing you to fully enjoy the charm of the Loire Valley.
