I have been in customer service, hospitality and holiday lettings for most of my working life. I love design and detail I hope you will see this in your accomodation. I love rumaging in many of the brocantes found within a few minutes drive. I also love visting and discovering the many beutiful medieval towns along the banks of The Dordogne which are within easy reach in surrounding the area. Your comfort is of utmost importance and I you can be sure that I will try to accomodate your every wish.

Property information

Maison M was owned by the family Moulenes and was bought as a wedding gift. Hence the letter M above the grand entrance way. Maison M is a Maison de maitre and is the largest house in the medieval village of Sainte Foy la Grande. It was built in 1895 and overlooks the Dordogne river and the vineyards and the rolling hills of Pineuilh and also medieval Port Sainte Foy. We offer comfortable Chambres d'hote which are all well decorated and nicely furnished. All the rooms are ensuite and we also have 2 self contained apartments in our garden. These have kitchen corners for preparation of light meals. WE also have a 2 bed 2 bathroom self contained stone gite. Behind the two imposing front doors you enter a tranquil courtyard and this leads to our garden and pool terrace. Being in town there are many good restaurants and bars within walking distance. No reason to drink drive or to pay expensive taxi fares. We can arrange wine tastings, art classes, mushroom foraging, canoeing, tennis,horse riding, spa days, golf and many other activities.

Neighbourhood information

WE have many fabulous eateries in town and in the surrounding area. The local sepciality is foie gras and duck cooked many ways. Guests love the fact that they feel in the countryside yet in town with access to everything you expect in town. We have one of the best street markets in France here in town every Saturday morning from around 8.30 am. We have a butcher and a baker just opposite and a small supermarket within a couple of minutes walk.
