Welcome to Maison St. James! Hosting guests is one of my greatest joys, as it allows me to share not only the beauty of Normandy but also a little piece of my story. Born in England, raised in Scotland, and married in the land of kilts and bagpipes, I moved to France in late 2019 to escape the constant rush of life. This corner of Lower Normandy, with its tranquil countryside and rich history, captured my heart immediately. I love meeting people from all walks of life and hearing their stories—it's part of why I opened my doors as a host. Our home, far too large for just two, has become a space where guests can relax, recharge, and immerse themselves in this incredible region.
What I adore most about this area is its blend of serene landscapes and cultural treasures. Whether it’s the iconic Mont Saint-Michel, just a short drive away, or the rolling green hills and quiet forests perfect for a leisurely stroll, there’s always something to marvel at. For me, the slower pace of life here is a gift—one that I hope to share with you. Between exploring charming villages, enjoying local delicacies like cider and camembert, or simply taking in the views, your stay promises to be as rejuvenating as it is inspiring. I can’t wait to welcome you to Maison St. James and help you create unforgettable memories in this extraordinary part of France.
