Our charming 18th century stone guesthouse welcomes you to an authentic slice of rural France. 10 minutes from Aubenas and 2 km from the village of Vesseaux, these cosy but spacious apartments/gites are a testament to the history of this 18th century farmhouse. The Koru-Viognier apartment on the ground floor with vaulted ceilings and exposed stone walls is a pleasant respite to the summer heat and. comfortably accommodates a couple, 4 adults or a family of 4-5. The Chataignier apartment is on the top floor with views of the garden The kitchen and dining areas are on the mezzanine with large windows and French doors with views to the garden. We have an extra double bedroom with ensuite bathroom available on request, which communicates directly, should you require more room. Mas le Nogier is situated in a peaceful area of of chestnut forests and orchards, framed by the Monts d'Ardèche. Hiking, mountain biking trails and a swimming hole are all accessible from the house. This is an ideal location to discover the surrounding area; the beautiful villages of Vogue, Balazuc, Antraigues, and the Ardeche gorges, the Chauvet 2 cave and the southern Ardeche are well accessible.

We have enjoyed running Mas le Nogier as B&B guesthouse for the last decade. We live onsite and enjoy meeting people and providing our guests with helpful information on the area. However, both apartments have independent access, and are completely self-catering. We are a French-Kiwi family, passionate about travel and we have aimed to build comfort and wellbeing into the farmhouse while retaining its history and charm.

The village of Vesseaux just 2km down the road has all the necessary commodities: bakery, butcher's, superette. However there is much more to the village than meets the eye, with it's ancient centre and 12th century church, as well as play areas and sports grounds for tennis, football, beach volleyball and soccer, a skatebowl and more. Aubenas with its castle and vibrant market is 10 minutes away, and the beautiful villages and sites of Ardèche: Vogüé, Balazuc, Antraigues, Vallon-Pont-d'Arc and the Chauvet 2 Cave are all within easy reach.  Excellent summer festivals abound in the area.
