Le Petit Gite is a detached, self-catering holiday cottage in a quiet location within Eymet, in the Dordogne region of France, and genuinely only 5 minutes walk from Eymet's centre and vibrant medieval square. Up to 4 people are comfortably accommodated in the cottage which has an open-plan living/dining area with vaulted ceiling, well-equipped kitchen, shower room and 2 bedrooms with generous sized beds and gorgeous bed linen. Shutters help to keep guests cool during the summer months whilst a wood-burning stove and electric heating means the cottage is cosy in cooler months. French doors lead to the south-facing dining terrace with BBQ, enclosed garden with lawn and mature trees. Brand new for May 2019, the property will have it's own swimming pool and sun deck, with loungers and parasols. Eymet holds a year-round weekly market, summertime night markets, gourmet evenings in the Park, a Christmas market, various festivals, fetes and music events throughout the year. Guests are offered free private car parking, Wi-Fi, UK Freeview channels & DVD player.

We are Rachel & Chris Jones, and our daughter Ellie. We have lived in France for more than a decade, and absolutely love the way of life, the delicious local food and wine, beautiful scenery and the cycling here! This year, 2019, we excitedly began our new venture "Petit-Gite-Eymet". Our aim to offer excellent holiday accommodation, with everything that guests need for a super stay. Our family home is just a 5 minute drive from Le Petit Gite and so, in the unlikely event of any problems, we are close at hand to help!

Eymet is in SW France, the Dordogne region, just 20kms south of Bergerac. Eymet is a pretty, medieval market town with a choice of three boulangeries, many café-bars and restaurants, a tourist information office, a pharmacy, supermarket etc. The town holds a very popular year-round weekly market as well as night markets and gourmet food markets during the height of Summer. Surrounding Eymet is beautiful, wine-making countryside. During July/August fields of sunflowers, too, are in abundance! Popular activities for holidaymakers include vineyard tours and wine tasting, food markets, dining out, chateaux visits, visits to caves, rambling, cycling, horse-riding, hot-air ballooning, kayaking on the Dordogne river, and simply kicking back and relaxing whilst soaking up the French ambiance! The towns of Bergerac, Perigueux, St Emilion, Sarlat & Bordeaux are all well worth a visit.
