A total change of scenery, just one hour from Paris, in the middle of the protected Vexin regional nature park, on the banks of a beautiful river and very close to Giverny and Claude Monet's gardens. Lying in the sun in a deckchair on the lawn of the flowered garden, protected by low white stone walls of the Vexin which give it a southern air, enjoy the calm of the Norman countryside. When it's cold outside, warm up in front of a good fire in the large fireplace, curled up in the deep sofas with soft cushions: you are in an 18th century country house, nevertheless equipped with wifi, a Vr-Zr system with a connection for IPod, and Bose speakers and a flat screen TV. At mealtime, organize large tables, on the old-fashioned paved terrace or in the dining room, so convivial with its country furniture, its rustic table of the XVIIIth century, its authentic kitchen and its wood stove. ... and a wide variety of activities on the property: professional table soccer and ping-pong table.

Aveny is located amidst green hills and wheat fields painted by Monet and Van Gogh, and, although an hour from Paris, the area is free of tourists. Aveny is next to the Parc Naturel Régional du Vexin, a huge protected area dedicated to preserving nature and agriculture. The area, located in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional du Vexin, is full of activities: - From the house, an infinite number of hikes including the hills and wheat fields that Van Gogh and Monet painted (IGN maps of the region are available in the house) - Bike rides along the river, on a 100 km long track - In Saint Clair sur Epte (3 km) : canoe rental to go down the Epte to the beautiful Moulin de Fourges, mountain bike rental, paragliding and tennis lessons. - In Chaussy (7 km) : Equestrian club and Golf of Villarceaux (18 holes) - In Giverny (8 km) : Claude Monet's House and the Museum of Impressionism - At La Roche-Guyon (8 km), a picturesque cliff-town that intrigued Renoir, Sisley, Pissaro, Degas, with its magnificent castle and its 12th century keep overlooking a loop of the Seine - Haute-Isle (9km) - Etc.
