We welcome you to our fully restored village house in the heart of beautiful Verteuil sur Charente.Our property has antique French furniture and fittings to complement the restoration.On the third floor we went with a more modern twist in furnishings.The house is fully set up for a lovely relaxed holiday..We also have a private area by the river which guests can sit back and enjoy.We supply a table,chairs,bbq and charcol.Since July 2016 we have welcomed guests from the following countries.France,Spain,Holland,UK,Germany,Australia,Italy,America,Canada,Corsica, Wales,Ireland,Jersey,Panama.China,Hungary,Belgium,Czechia.Poland.

I am a classic car restorer by trade,owner of many classic and modern sports cars.The Charente has many car rallies during the summer months which my wife and I attend.I have lived and worked here in the Charente for 16 years..I love old buildings and antiques.I have also travelled south east Asia,Europe and lived and worked in Australia for 6 years.I love to meet people from different countries and cultures.

Verteuil sur Charente is dominated by the chateau,The Charente river passes through the village which is very popular with canoeist.Our property is in the heart of the village which has the following amenities.Wine bar and cave,Butchers selling local produce,Ladies and Gents hair saloons,General provisions stall.Post office.Florist,Antique shop,Chemist,Real estate agents,Five restaurants and a great Artisanal Boulangerie.Just 6km north of Verteuil is the town of Ruffec which has Hyper markets,Weekly fresh produce markets and many bars and restaurants.During spring and summer Verteuil has a Sunday morning fresh produce market selling local goods.
