Company information
Once cultivated by the Romans, a centuries-old bastide, a beautiful park filled with fountains, and a traditional wine-tasting cellar — welcome to Château Barbebelle.
Located between Aix-en-Provence and the Luberon, Madeleine and Valentin Premmereur work hand in hand, supported by a wonderful team, to maintain a 100% independent production. The 50 hectares of vineyards, classified under the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation, are set at an altitude of 400 meters, in the heart of 300 hectares of preserved natural landscape. The entire estate is certified organic (Agriculture Biologique).
For four generations, the production process has been entirely managed on-site — from the vines and the winemaking to bottling and sales — giving the estate its unique authenticity.
Château Barbebelle is also a charming place to experience Provençal life: concerts in the park, an organic vegetable garden, a pétanque court, and beautifully renovated houses facing the vineyards available for weekend or weekly stays.
Since 2025, Château Barbebelle has also welcomed weddings and private events in the heart of the property, surrounded by vineyards and lavender fields.
We would be delighted to welcome you and share our local tips for discovering the authentic Provence: traditional markets, the hilltop villages of the Luberon, festivals, and of course, the region’s rich gastronomic and wine heritage.
