15 Newport Road is a charming attached stone cottage set on the main road in Lower Town Fishguard just yards from this picturesque harbour. Dating back to the 1700s and Grade II listed, steps lead up to the front slate terrace, enjoy sitting on the bench here while you soak up the lovely view over this pretty inlet. Comfortably furnished throughout, it retains its original character with beams and sash windows. The sitting room with lovely corner sofa is perfect for relaxing, while the wood burning stove ensures a cosy feel on even the chilliest of evenings. Enjoy leisurely meals in the dining room, 1 steep step leads down to the fitted kitchen with a low door out to the front terrace. Stairs from the dining room take you to the bedrooms above, welcome retreats with wonderful views over the water and harbour. Shared, uneven steps at the side of the cottage lead up to the terraced rear garden, the top terrace with small lawn and decked area offers stunning views across the inlet and out to sea. Conveniently situated, the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path runs past your door and is perfect for exploring this stunning rugged coastline with cliffs and hidden bays. The picturesque harbour is just across the road and there is a pub just a few yards away, alternatively within walking distance up the hill are a range of pubs, galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants to try in Upper Town Fishguard, as well as a leisure centre and local cinema. This whole area has been used for several major film sets including Moby Dick and Under Milkwood and there a number of events held over the summer including regattas and music festivals. Continue on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, in one direction lies Strumble Head and the wonderful coves of Aberbach and Abermawr, while in the other is Dinas Head, a walk round the island from Pwllgwaelod to Cwm yr Eglwys is well worth it, the views out to sea are glorious, Newport on the mouth of the river Nevern has a wonderful sandy beach and a ra
