Our homely chalet is set in a rural 30-acre woodland site at Penstowe Holiday Park in Kilkhampton, just 10 minutes drive from Bude. The Chalet has 2-bedrooms and sleeps a total of 5 (with a maximum of 4 Adults), so perfect for families, couples or solo travellers. We are also dog friendly, so the furry member(s) of your family can join in on the fun too. It really is the perfect location to explore the stunning North Cornwall coast, with it's beautiful beaches, family-friendly attractions and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, including water sports, bike rides and beautiful walks, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

We purchased the chalet in June 2022 to enable us to come to Cornwall and make some family memories down by the coast - we are from the Midlands so the beach is such a luxury to us!! We love to spend our time at the beach, going on walks (St Nectans Glen is our little must do each time we are here), riding the Camel Trail and just exploring what this beautiful part of the country has to offer. Kilkhampton Village is a 5-10 minute walk from Penstowe Holiday Park, there is a Co-Op and Spa in the village as well as two lovely, family friendly pubs, which serve great food. There are also a few takeaways; Chinese, Pizza and Fish & Chips. On the Common (just a short walk away) there is a children's play park. The nearest beach from Kilkhampton is Sandymouth Bay Beach, which is 3 miles away. However, there are lots and lots and lots of beaches right on your doorstep in North Cornwall, each with their own unique reason for visiting. Most of the beaches are dog friendly all year round but please check the rules regarding this as each beach is different. Tamar Lakes is an 8 minute drive from the park and is popular with walkers, runners, cyclists, families (pushchair friendly), sailors, bird watchers and anglers. You can do a number of water sports here such as kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. There is also a children's play area and a café. The beautiful Cornish town of Bude is only 4 miles away from Penstowe, here there are 2 beaches, a sea pool, water sports, a canal complete with pedalos for hire, beautiful walks, a children's play park, shops, restaurants, cafes and lots to do and see.
