Llanllwni is a small village community in Carmarthenshire, on the main Carmarthen to Lampeter road. Set on the edge of the Llanllwni Mountain, with stunning heathland and a large area of common land home to grazing ponies, the area enjoys fantastic views across Carmarthenshire, sloping down into the Brechfa Forest and Cothi River valley. With such a wide expanse of countryside surrounding the village, there are a myriad of outdoor activities for you to pursue and enjoy whilst staying in this region. This area is also particularly ideal for cyclists as the National Cycle Route 82 runs through the area opening up miles of countryside. Spend an afternoon exploring the popular market town of Llandysul on the River Teifi, or further afield, 17 miles to the south, the county town of Carmarthen is the oldest town in Wales and popular with tourists to the area. New Quay is just a short drive away and dolphin spotting is a popular pastime here. When the sun shines, you can even pack a picnic for the day and venture west to Ceredigion Bay, which stretches for miles up and down Wales’ west coastline, with plenty of long sandy beaches to enjoy. A wonderful, central holiday base for a trip to Wales.
