A contemporary duplex apartment in a mid-century block, 26 Piazza is a top floor, beach front apartment with stunning views across Porthmeor Beach, to the Island and Man’s Head. The magnificent views across Porthmeor, which is renowned for its surfing and sands, can be enjoyed from the front balconies in the living room and bedroom making it the perfect place to worship the sun or watch the winter storms. Third balcony overlooks the town and harbour which are all a few minutes’ walk away. Third Floor A series of stone stairs on the outside of the building lead from the communal courtyard to: Kitchen. Stream-lined modern fitted kitchen with ceramic induction hob, fan-assisted oven, small dishwasher, stainless steel sink, integral fridge, microwave and extraction fan. Wood effect “Karndeen” vinyl flooring and a non-opening window on the communal walkway. Opening (without door) to: Sitting/dining room. Large windows and balcony with superb uninterrupted view over the beach. 2 seater Sofa, 1 easy chair, TV/DVD and round dining table with 4 chairs. Fitted carpet. Bathroom. Re-fitted in late 2020 with walk-in shower with mains hot water, wash basin, shaver point, WC and small towel rail. Karndeen vinyl flooring. Window with obscured glass. Open-sided staircase (with a single handrail) from sitting room to: Fourth Floor Open plan bedroom. King-size divan bed. The built-in cupboard has hanging and storage space and houses the immersion tank. Mirror and lamp. Fitted carpet. Double-aspect space with floor-depth windows and balconies on either side for sun and views all day. NB There is no door between the bedroom, stairs and sitting/dining room. Car parking for small car (tight between 2 granite pillars), inside the Piazza courtyard (2nd space on left) under cottages. The space itself is 10' x 15' but the turning space is only 10' x 10' between 4 granite pillars.

Neighbourhood information

Piazza Building and facilities: Communal launderette (Pay to use) in the Piazza building with washing machine, spin dryer etc (closed on Sundays). Direct private access to the beach from the Piazza courtyard (seasonal). Neighbourhood: Piazza is situated in the old St Ives fishing area of Downalong – a conservation area, full of quaint roads and walkways; Porthmeor beach (the famous surfing beach), is on your doorstep, Porthgwidden and Harbour beaches are a few minutes walk away. If required the Island and Barnoon car park are very close by. The town's art galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants are also a few minutes walk away along with the Tate Gallery.
