Polzeath is a small village located on the headland opposite Padstow and just a few miles from Wadebridge. There are many local shops providing everything a holiday maker needs, from surfing equipment to clothes. You can also find a number of stunning walks surrounding the village. The local culinary scene is not to be missed; Polzeath boasts an excellent selection of atmospheric restaurants such as Oystercatcher and The Waterfront; both serving up local ingredients and fresh seafood. Polzeath beach is a haven for surfers and you can learn too at the Surf’s Up School. During the summer season the beach is watched over by lifeguards during the day. This large and sandy beach is also home to a nature reserve and some great rock pools to explore. Enjoy a day out coasteering with Era Adventures; while away in the stunning lagoons, play in natural whirlpools and rapids, climb over rockfaces and get the adrenaline pumping with a 30ft cliff jump. Just a short drive away, enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Daymer Bay, where you can relax on golden sands and look out peacefully over the Camel Estuary and across to Padstow. A little further on and you will find the famous St Enodoc Golf Links. Spend a day looking for King Arthur at Tintagel Castle. Walk across the bridge between the main land and headland to take in the breath-taking views. Once on the headland explore the rich history; walk among the castle ruins, find early-medieval remains and locate the life-size bronze statue of an ancient king.
