Having spent half my life across the beaches of Cape Town, I decided to visit Newquay for the first time to finish by doctoral research. I was stunned by the dramatic, picturesque beauty of the beaches & caves, the hiking trails and incredible surfing, not to mention the dog loving, friendly community. My preconceived notion of UK coastlines were debunked! Directly across from the stunning cliffside view of Newquay’s coastline and ocean, supermarkets are 5 minutes away, main train station, local businesses and a fantastic, well priced gym is a few minutes to the left toward town. To the right is the infamous Lust Glaze beach and large, dog friendly park that has such breathtaking views, even your dog will take a moment to enjoy it. Interlinking beaches, caves, surfing and a beautiful restaurant on Tolcarne Beach is literally opposite Cliff Edge. Very friendly community with a lot of ex pats from London. Despite being close to the action, all our floor to ceiling windows are triple glazed and fitted with light diffuser and blackout blinds.
