Ours is a modern house in a quiet cul-de-sac, just off the main road which runs along by the river through Upwell. From the back of the house we have views across fields towards the often gorgeous sunsets. I am a contemporary painter and quilter so the house is full of my colourful work. Breakfast, if you require it will be served in the dining room. Tea and coffee making facilities are available to you in the kitchen. The double bedroom is served by a large ensuite bathroom and shower. We also have two single bedrooms which share a newly appointed bathroom on the landing.
We are both artists and photography and I run the village art class each Friday afternoon. I am a member of the Samphire Quilt group in King's Lynn and enjoy workshops with fellow quilters and exhibiting at national shows throughout the year. We have a West Highland terrier called Bubbles who is very friendly, so you should be tolerant or a lover of dogs!
Upwell has a mix of new and very old houses along the river, and the ancient church of St. Peters which has the famous flying wooden angels decorating the ceiling. Upwell is centrally placed for visiting Wisbech, King's Lynn, Downham Market and Peterborough and beyond, as well as Cambridge, only an hour away. There's a pub at each end of the village, plus the Crown Lodge for drinks and meals. There are several good restaurant/pubs which we can direct you too!
