The roof terrace was a great advantage. The weather was fine so I could use it for a good while - though the seagulls did make their presence felt!

Situated above Southwold's high street, 72a has an excellent location to enjoy all that is Southwold. A light and airy bedroom with a private balcony to relax on, a clean shower room and a modern kitchen. The seating area has a comfortable sofa and some good books to read. A short stroll to the beach or across the estuary using the famous rowing boat to Walberswick where you can watch the crabbing competitions. A little piece of relaxation in this busy world...
We have always loved Southwold, with its working boat yards and relaxing walks. We have a Bed & Breakfast in Norwich City centre and it made sense to combine the two in Southwold - this way, we get to enjoy it all the more.
Southwold combines the old with the new. The working boat yards on the estuary with their traditional and modern skills and the world famous Adnams brewery with its Ghostship beer and its new mixes of Gins. There is the pier with its fascinating clock and old penny slot machines. A short hop to Minsmere, the RSPB nature reserve and then along the coast to Dunwich with its fascinating history and tiny museum. Plenty to do or not do in this pretty town on the suffolk coast.
