Alexandra Retreat is a private garden annex, attached to our family home opposite Alexandra Park in Hastings, 10 minutes from the sea...recently renovated, the space includes a private decked area, on street parking (permits provided), a kitchenette, washer/dryer and everything needed for long or short stays.

I'm Kristen, a Hastings and St Leonard's enthusiast, born on the Gold Coast of Australia and happy to be back close to the sea...

The annex is attached to our Victorian family home, situated on a smart residential street overlooking Alexandra Park, close to the Eat and pumphouse cafes. Old Roar Gill waterfall is nearby, and the ancient St Helens Woods are just up the hill....The Imperial pub (craft beer and great pizza) and Half Man Half Burger in the Yard are super close, and the Fountain or the Prince Albert for drinks...You can walk to the Old Town in 15 minutes using a shortcut over the West Hill, which has amazing views, and passes the Beacon which is always worth a visit. This is also a great base to explore local towns like Rye, Pett, Fairlight, and Camber Sands, all about 30 minutes drive away... Hastings station, the seafront and the Old Town are within walking distance, and St Leonards a little further to walk, but 5 minutes in the car. We have permits for guest parking (free of charge) and there is nearly always space right outside the main house. We are happy for you to store bikes/paddleboards in the side alley of the house, within the main gated entrance. We can give you loads of recommendations for cycle routes, scenic walks and best spots for water sports.
