Langham is a quintessential Norfolk village populated with brick and flint properties and a charming gabled 14th century church. The village pub, The Bluebell, serves great food and is very popular with both locals and visitors. Langham is ideally located for walking and exploring.
The village is situated two miles inland from the coastal village of Blakeney with its salt marshes leading out to Blakeney point, famous for seals, wildlife and birds. Blakeney is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. At the heart is Blakeney National Nature Reserve with wide open spaces and uninterrupted views of the coastline - ideal for walking and spotting local wildlife, including seals and migratory birds. Blakeney offers plenty of opportunities to sample local produce with a fantastic deli located in the village. After a long walk, reward yourself with a sweet treat from Two Magpies Bakery. Head out for a day's sea fishing, try your hand at gillying for crab on the harbour, swim, kayak or paddleboard through the creek or join a seal spotting trip from neighbouring Morston.
Food lovers are spoilt for choice. Book in to sample the delectable tasting menu at the Michelin starred Morston Hall, or lunch at the The White Horse at Blakeney. A short trip to The Gunton Arms offers a truly exceptional dining experience, as does the popular Wiveton Bell.
The nearby village of Cley is famous for its 18th century windmill and fine coastal walks through the Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve at Cley Marshes. Further along the coast, the village of Stiffkey is renowned for its saltmarsh, one of the country’s richest in wildlife. Or for landlubbers, exploration of a stately home makes a grand day out. Holkham Estate, Hindringham Hall and Gardens, and Walsingham Abbey are all a mere car journey away.
Three miles away is the popular Georgian market town of Holt, brimming with enticing independent shops, cafes and art galleries.
