Hafan Dawel is a luxurious 17th century barn that has been meticulously renovated and offers high quality holiday accommodation in the beautiful coastal village of Penally, which is situated 1 mile southwest of Tenby.
The accommodation is spacious and characterful. There is an outdoor wood fired pool which is heated with a log burner. Please be aware due to this being wood fired there could potentially be small pieces of floating wood and ash within the pool. The garden area has a large picnic table . Children will love the large wooden play area including 3 swings, rock wall, bridge and fireman’s pole.
The space
The stone built 17th century barn is full of character and quirkiness which has not been compromised during its extensive renovation . From its foot thick stone walls to its beams and stable doors it is one of a kind. The large open plan kitchen with range cooker and large acacia dining table and chairs is a great space for entertaining friends and family. The pretty lounge is a great place to relax with loved ones and in winter sitting round the log fire is a great way to end the day .

The barn is located in the beautiful coastal village of Penally which is one mile southwest of Tenby. Penally has a lovely sandy beach which is within walking distance and there is a lovely walk along the beach to Tenby's South Beach . From here boats leave during Summer months for seal and puffin safaris and day trips to the nearby Caldey Island. There are some great coastal walks from Penally Beach to Giltar Point which has lovely views of Caldey island . The golf course in Penally is popular and sits on the stretch of land next to the sea. The village itself has a few good pubs for food, a village shop and a church.
There are great attractions which children will love close by including Heatherton, Manor Park Zoo, Oakwood, Blue Lagoon pool, Folly Farm and Pembroke Castle.
Getting around
There is a train station in Penally . Tenby south beach can be walked either from Penally beach or by walking through Kiln Park. Taxis to Tenby are very reasonable as its only a mile. Parking is good with 4 or so parking places to the front of the property
