Stow-on-the-Wold is arguably one of the prettiest and most delightful Cotswolds towns with a large selection of eating and drinking options to suit all budgets as well as a large array of shops. It is also a well-known centre for quality antique shops. It is a perfect base for exploring nearby Cotswold towns and villages including Bourton-on-the-Water, Broadway, Burford, and Chipping Camden. Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon (with its Royal Shakespeare Theatre), Blenheim Castle and Oxford are just a little further afield. There are lovely walks from The Sanctuary and cycles can be hired in the nearby village of Bourton-on-the-Water.
