We are proudly a family-run business, and always have been since acquiring the B&B in 2001. With three young children under the age of 10 at the time, this mammoth project felt like quite an undertaking! However, in the 24 years of running our little operation, the property has undergone numerous improvements such as new roofing, meticulous garden-pruning, a new brick patio, several room makeovers and altogether a new lease of life. Our kids feel privileged to have stood alongside us throughout the whole journey, and now that they've all flown the nest we continue to develop our business with honour. As we also live next door, we offer our guests a personal touch from check-in to check-out; we're here to help.

The property is a grand and impressive stone building, over a hundred years old and situated on one of Leeds' longest residential roads: Street Lane. Our guests will enjoy our majestic high ceilings and large windows, some overlooking the large front garden. In the Autumn, the horse chestnut trees at the front of the property show a remarkable display of conkers and orange foliage, and in the Summer a wonderful parade of greenery. Most of the rooms we offer have undergone modernisation, boasting a fresh, clean and calming aesthetic with some lively accents of colour. We're positive our guests will feel right at home in this fantastic lodging.

Roundhay is one of Leeds' most treasured locations and is renowned for its restaurants, pubs, and social life. In particular, Roundhay Park - a mere seven minute walk from the property - is a prized feature, known for its artisanal fairs and live music events. Opposite Roundhay park is Tropical World: a zoo in miniature, displaying numerous reptiles, fish, insects, butterflies and birds - ideal for a family visit or a lazy afternoon pastime. In addition, the hotel is only three miles from Leeds City Centre which gives guests easy access to superb shops such as John Lewis, Harvey Nichols, Trinity shopping centre and various other attractions such as the famed Royal Armouries museum. We are conveniently placed directly opposite a bus-stop where the 2 service will take you straight into the heart of the city around 20 minutes.
Just fifteen minutes' drive from the hotel, guests can visit the brand new shopping park The Springs, complete with a cinema, Harewood House with its famous Bird Garden, 13 golf courses in the area or venture a little further to Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales.
Eating out in the area is a pleasure with a huge range of top class restaurants from Italian cuisine at the famous Flying Pizza, to the superb Thai Sukhothai and Aagrah Indian Restaurant all within a short distance from the hotel. Or, if you prefer, there are three excellent pubs within walking distance all of which serve top class food but with drinks at pub prices. If it's a quick caffeine fix you're looking for, Starbucks is a stones-throw away from our front door or walk a little further to Rand, a treasured artisanal roastery. Breakfast options are also plentiful in the immediate area - sadly we are no longer able to offer a breakfast service, but rest assured you'll have plenty of options in the vicinity.
