Blueberry Barn is a light and airy barn conversion set on a peaceful 200 acre dairy farm only 3 miles from fashionable Bruton. Blueberry Barn sleeps 6 pers in 3 bedrooms, idea for a family or group of friends but equally perfect for a romantic weekend away too, with cosy wood burning fire, very private aspect, plenty of country walks straight from the barn. The setting is idyllic, you will be surrounded by 200 acres of green fields, with cows grazing in summer, so it is incredibly tranquil, yet we are only 3 miles from the fashionable and historic town of Bruton. Ground Floor: The twin/kingsize room with its own (not en-suite) shower room on the same floor, with WC, basin and shower, heated towel rail, tiled floor. There is also a utility room with its own outside entrance (ideal for dogs and muddy boots) with washing machine, and additional large fridge/freezer. Fast speed Wifi throughout. A short flight of stairs leads up: First Floor: Open plan dining room/kitchen/sitting room with two sofas and an armchair, TV, wood burner, coffee table and desk. Basket of logs provided. Well-equipped kitchen with electric fan oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, plenty of plates, glasses, pots, pans, serving dishes. Dining area with seating for six. French doors leading to outside sitting area, which has table and chairs and outdoor wicker sofa. Another short flight of stairs leads up to Second Floor - two further bedrooms; one with double and the other with kingsize beds. Separate bathroom with basin, bath and overhead show

We moved here from London in 2010 with our three children, now all young adults, and quickly fell in love with this beautiful part of Somerset, which has since become very fashionable with lots to do and see and plenty of places to eat out. We enjoy the peace and quiet of living surrounded by green fields far away from any other houses, yet we are only 3 miles from Bruton. We live in the yellow farm house in the adjacent courtyard to Blueberry Barn. The two houses are completely separate and do not overlook each other, so you will be completely private. My husband and I both work from home, I enjoy writing and gardening and we enjoy walking, skiing and travelling. You may see us out and about with our three dogs. We will leave the key in a safe place for you to let yourselves in and we are available should you have any questions.

There are so many local attractions within a 20-30 mins radius, but the most well known are probably Hauser & Wirth contemporary Art Gallery in nearby Bruton, (7mins away) it's worth exploring it's shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, and The Newt, near Castle Cary, (15 mins) a vast garden with several fascinating museums, as well different places to eat. We are also very close to Frome, a busy market town with plenty of independent shops and cafes. Longleat is 20 mins away, Wells is 30 mins, with its stunning cathedral and pretty shops and cafes, and National Trust property Stourhead is only 10 mins. There are plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants to choose from all within a very short drive.
