This award-winning Victorian guest house offers stunning sea and harbour views, just a few minutes’ walk from Ilfracombe’s beach and town centre. The Collingdale Guest House offers an award-winning full English breakfast and free WiFi in public areas. The guest bedrooms are pleasantly decorated. Most are equipped with an en-suite bathroom and they all feature a flat-screen TV, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Guests can relax in Collingdale’s lounge and watch TV or enjoy the picturesque scenic views from the window. Please note that bedrooms are situated over three floors with no lift, so may not be suitable for guests with restricted mobility. If you would like a room on a lower floor please advise at the time of booking. The on-site bar features a good selection of beers, wines and spirits including malt whiskeys and fine brandies for guests to enjoy. Exmoor National Park is less than a 15-minute drive away and the Ilfracombe Golf Course is just over a mile from the guest house. The major A39 road, which runs into the heart of Cornwall, is less than 15 miles away.

Company information

Your hosts, Sharon and Daryl, bought The Collingdale in 2003, drawn in by the splendid, panoramic views and its position overlooking the harbour. We spent several years refurbishing all the rooms and lovingly restored it to a very high standard throughout. We are very proud to have been awarded 4 Star Silver and a Breakfast Award by the AA several years running and take great pride in what we do. We offer a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and you can be assured of a warm welcome.

Neighbourhood information

We are keen walkers ourselves and love sightseeing, so having explored the whole of North Devon, are happy to offer advice on where to go, what to see and recommend places to eat. Ilfracombe is situated directly on the South West Coastal Path and has a thriving, picturesque, historic harbour and some very fine restaurants, plus is an ideal base from which to explore North Devon and Exmoor. We do hope you will choose to come and stay with us soon.
