I was a little nervous about staying above a pub, but it was so cute, comfortable, and quiet. It’s tucked away down a small side street, so you’re in the middle of everything, but still in a restful place. Kevin and Sue were so lovely and helpful!...

Very cute. We loved it. Felt very English and homey. There’s a private entrance so you don’t have to go through the pub downstairs but it’s there if you want to. The guest room had a very comfortable bed, private bathroom, mini refrigerator, TV,...

Bow Street Runner
The Bow Street Runner is a small traditional pub & we have 3 rooms above that are available to book on a B&B basis. The pub is long established & we are very lucky to have a loyal & core regular customer base, who are always welcoming to our guests. Many years ago the pub used to be the police station for the Brunswick area of Hove. It was first named "The Station" but changed to "The Bow Street Runner" in the 1960's.
The business is owned by Sue & the team is made up of Paulina, Eli, Laurant and Tony. Paulina looks after the guest rooms & works very hard to ensure all is comfortable. The whole team look forward to welcoming all guests & will do everything possible to ensure everyone has an enjoyable stay.
We are situated in a quiet side street of the Brunswick area in Hove in East Sussex. The seafront is a 2 minute walk away as is the main high street with it's many cafes, restaurants & shops. Brighton town centre is an aprrox 10 minute walk away or can be easily reached by bus. Some Brighton attractions include the famous Palace Pier, the Royal Pavilion, the i360 observation tower & the Lanes. If travelling to us by train then Brighton mainline station is approx 25 minute walk away. The number 6 bus serves our location, get off at Brunswick Square, turn right & we are down the first street on the left, or you can take a taxi, which are plentiful at the train station. If you have any questions about our property, amenities or location then please contact us & we will be happy to help you.
