Nestled in the beautiful Georgian village of Bowlish, ‘Bowlish House’ is the ultimate dreamy country escape Our Grade II* Georgian Palladian stately home, completed in c. 1732, is a stunning example of early Georgian architecture and is the ultimate haven for a peaceful country escape, an intimate wedding or a special celebration. The house is also used as a location house for film and photography Bowlish – which means ‘bridge over the rocky waterfall’, is a picturesque hamlet that mainly consists of charming listed historic houses and cottages. A stone’s throw from local places of interest such as the ancient Cathedral city of Wells, the city of Bath, Glastonbury Tor and the vibrant local towns of Frome and Bruton. There are so many wonderful things to do in our local surroundings before you retreat to your stylish room to snuggle down and dream, drift and dwell

Bowlish is a gorgeous little village on edge of Shepton Mallet. We are in close proximity to the cities of Bath (16 miles) and Bristol (18 miles), while the vibrant city of Wells only a short drive away (5 miles). Bohemian Frome is close by (12 miles) as is bijou Bruton (8 miles). We are also just 7 minutes away from the Glastonbury gates in Pilton. Nestled at the gateway of the Mendip Hills, we have no shortage of beautiful walks/hikes and pubs on our doorstep
