Bracken Barns Glamping Site is nestled in a valley surrounded by rolling hills just 6 miles from the historic town of Ayr.
Our yurts and bus are quirky, comfy, warm, personal spaces filled with character & charm with proper beds, close to nature without the worry of being cold & wet! We offer an Off -Grid living experience including log burners and fire pit with wood from our own farm, BBQ, outdoor games, and hammocks strung in the copse to lie back and be with the trees. All accommodation has its own camp kitchen and bathroom complete with shower and compost loos (there's a portaloo too).
We provide a relaxing, comfortable country glamping holiday whether it's just a few nights stop off or a longer family break.
We are perfectly located for cycling holidays, walking holidays, family weekend getaways, quiet romantic breaks or just time for yourself to reconnect and get some well deserved peace!
Don't forget to check out the Extras available to make your stay that bit more memorable..
Our on-site massage therapist, Kerrie Chinn, is here to treat your aches & pains from head to toe and her massage skills are excellent! And there's always the Sauna to melt away your stress. Hampers and celebration decorations are also available. Please do book these in advance of your trip!
We moved here in February 2023 to realise our dream of an eco friendly (and hopefully disability friendly in the next few years!) small holiday site where people could come and relax and recharge.
We are striving to be an Off-Grid, Eco-Friendly site by 2027. Our non-invasive glamping experience boast Mongolian yurts, designed for cold climates. We also have a Double Decker Bus repurposed and recycled into a family accommodation with all the mod cons. When you stay with us at Bracken Barns you do so with the confidence that we provide incredibly comfortable, warm accommodation to match the Scottish climate and compliment your outdoor activities.
As it was used as an NHS bus, our Bru Bus now fits in perfectly at its new Scottish home sporting the orange & blue Irn Bru colours with pride!
