Broughton Grove is a quiet cottage that sits beside the Leeds and Liverpool Canal on the outskirts of Skipton. It's within walking distance of pubs, shops, cafes, a mainline train station, and Skipton's fantastic market and historic castle. It is also on the doorstep of the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales National Park. Many guests who stay here come for a walking or cycling holiday, and with the cottage being pet-friendly, your dog can also enjoy the beautiful footpaths around the area. Broughton Grove sleeps three people in one bedroom and suits couples, small families and independent travellers who want a comfortable, convenient place to stay to get away and relax.  A maximum of two small dogs are allowed. However, please note that this must be requested and agreed prior to your stay and will incur additional charges. Start your holiday with a leisurely stroll along the canal path into Skipton, billed as the "Gateway to the Dales" for its location on the southern border of the national park. In addition to its award-winning High Street, Skipton has a thriving market that runs every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, a fantastically well-preserved medieval castle, and plenty of places to eat and drink. Skipton is the perfect base for a walking or cycling holiday in the Yorkshire Dales. Stop by the Tourist Information & Visitor Centre on coach street if you need maps and ideas of where to tour first. Bicycle hire is readily available through several local bike shops for visitors who want to enjoy Yorkshire's favourite pastime. You can climb aboard the heritage Settle to Carlisle Railway or take a mainline service to Leeds or Morecambe for day trips. Harrogate, Keighley, Haworth and Bronte country, Grassington, Ilkey, Otley and Malham are all great destinations in any season. Broughton Grove is available for bookings all year round. With all the comforts of home and its quiet, convenient location, means that many of its guests return year after year.
