Discover the magnificent medieval fortress at Chirk Castle, Erdigg Hall and garden, a late 17th-century country house with a walled garden and the medieval Powys Castle with 17th century Italianate terraces and an Edwardian Formal Garden.
Walkers will be keen to tackle Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), and whether on foot or by the Snowdon Mountain Railway, this 1085 metre mountain is the highest mountain in Wales and the British isles, south of the Scottish Highlands.
For adrenalin-filled fun visit Whitewater Rafting in Llangollen with rapids such as Serpents Tail, Tombstones and Town Falls, a variety of thrilling adventures at Zip World in Penrhyn Quarry including a high-speed journey across the quarry on the Aero Explorer or experience the thrill of coasteering, master the art of surfing or journey along the stunning coastline by kayak at TYF Adventure.
Partake in a leisurely horse-drawn boat trip from Llangollen Wharf or enjoy The Mere at Ellesmere by canoe, kayak, paddle board or rowing boat.
Llandudno has plenty to entertain all ages, with a beach, pier with shops and games arcade, cable car station, Skiing and Toboggan Run, Cineworld cinema and The Great Orme Tramway.
