Cae Tudur is a beautiful remote, rural stone cottage amongst pastureland & woodland above the Mawddach estuary

Neighbourhood information

The farmer has access through the gated area along the track. The road to the cottage is a public single-track tarmac road for approximately 2 miles with passing places. At some points, there are dry stone walls on either side. Small low-powered cars will struggle on the inclines, so we only recommend that you bring a family-size car or 4 X 4. Vans and mini buses are not suitable, due to the narrowness of the road. We DON'T recommend that you arrange supermarket deliveries unless you arrange to meet them at the bottom of the road or in Barmouth, just 2.1 miles away from the turn-off. The final approach is a well-maintained fairly level private gravelled track. NB: Bring sturdy walking boots or wellies and torches.
