Quiet location perfect for our visit to Aylth to visit family. Very clean, warm and comfortable accommodation perfect for us. We didn't light the log fire but appreciate that this would be amazing in the winter months. The garden a little haven.

Tucked away in the centre of the pretty Perthshire town of Alyth, our comfortable cottages are perfectly situated for your self-catering holiday. Close to the Cairngorms and many of the beautiful places in Central and Eastern Scotland, they are the ideal base for exploring the glens, mountains and lochs at any time of year. Camlann is the smaller of our three properties, sleeping two people. A beautifully presented one bedroomed 19th century cottage in this quiet corner of Alyth, short breaks are available all year round. Fully self-catering, the butcher, baker and convenience store are only a few yards away and if you don’t want to cook at home, the Lossett Inn is around the corner and one of Scotland’s best country house hotels, the Lands of Loyal is five minutes drive away. Both serve great food. The single storey cottage is a perfect romantic bolthole. Set back from the main thoroughfare of Alyth up a short ‘vennel‘ it forms part of a string cottages built from the lovely red local sandstone which date back to the 18th century. Many of of the cottages housed workers from the town’s two textile mills. It is quiet, snug and finished to an extremely high standard.
We live in Alyth where we operate a number of businesses together including Alyth Craft Tourism which offers bespoke holidays with some of our finest local artists and wildlife tours as well. Clare is very involved in the arts culture and heritage of the area and is one of the founders of the Cateran Ecomuseum, a new museum without walls set in the beautiful and romantic landscapes of this part of Scotland. We look forward to welcoming you to our lovely wee town!
Our cottages are set within the new Cateran Ecomuseum - an outstanding new cultural destination in Scotland’s Tay Country.
