Welcome to Camus House – A Highland Retreat on the Shores of Loch Linnhe
Camus House is a traditional Victorian guest house set in a stunning loch-side location with panoramic views across Loch Linnhe towards the majestic mountains of Glencoe, Argyll, and the Ardnamurchan peninsula. Nestled in the peaceful village of Onich, midway between Glencoe and Fort William, it is the perfect base for exploring the breath-taking beauty of the West Highlands. From here, the Isles of Skye and Mull, Ardnamurchan, and even Loch Ness are all within easy reach for memorable day trips.
Built in 1892 on an elevated site overlooking Onich Bay, Camus House – named from the Gaelic for “on the bay” – retains many original 19th-century features including antique pine panelling and a grand carved staircase. The character of the house is enhanced by tasteful modern touches, creating a welcoming and comfortable setting that blends historic charm with contemporary comfort.
The four-bedroom guest house offers hotel-standard accommodation at affordable prices, with a warm, relaxed atmosphere – true Highland hospitality at its best.
